They’ve been called “Scout Elves.”
Those adorable little skinny-limbed Elves who hang around your house helping Santa figure out exactly who is naughty and who is nice.
They are the star attractions in one of this year’s biggest Christmas phenomenons, The Elf on the Shelf. It’s a decades old tradition actually that has seen a resurgence in recent years. Here’s how it works: families adopt an elf, name him and bring him home. Then he carefully watches your every move every day. At the end of the day when the children are asleep he scampers back to the North Pole and gives his report to the big guy in red. Were you good or bad? By morning, he comes back and resumes his post.
But sometimes these elves are mischievous. Instead of just hanging out by the tree, they put themselves in all kinds of wacky situations. (One of my favorites: Jumping on Barbie’s horse with Barbie holding on for dear life.)
In this blog, we want to see your Elf on the Shelf pictures. What kinds of trouble has your elf gotten into?
Just email them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep them family friendly please!
